At New Life Dance Ministry, our faculty encourages the heart and spirit of our dancers by nurturing their God-given abilities. We meet the dancer where they are and help them grow beyond themselves, while providing an atmosphere of fellowship and positive reinforcement.

Linda Milbourne began her study of dance at the Bach Conservatory (now the Toledo Ballet) when she was six years old. She was a student of Madame Velta Cernonok who trained with the same mentors as Mikhail Baryshnikov in Latvia. Linda is a former member of the University of Bridgeport Dance Company and the Hardy Contemporary Dance Theatre. She has performed in many community productions and at special events throughout Ohio. For many years, she has taught and coached dancers in ballet, modern, lyrical, contemporary, praise and worship, hip-hop, jazz, and ethnic dance forms. Additionally, Linda was one of the original members of New Life Church Gahanna dance ministry.

Becky Greenwood has always loved the performing arts. She has performed in numerous plays, sang in an African American gospel choir, and competed as a part of The Ohio State Ballroom Dance Team - just to name a few. Her love for children and the arts has brought her here to instruct her "littles" with love, patience and lots of energy to match theirs. Becky also serves as a volunteer for the AWANA and preschool programs at New Life Church Gahanna.

Desi loves teaching children and has experience working as a camp counselor, assistant schoolteacher, babysitter, and nanny. During the past 14 years, she has studied multiple forms of dance including ballet, jazz, ballroom, contemporary, modern, and tap. In 2012 Desi performed in Jugha’s Journey, a ballet produced by the director of SELAH Dance Ministries. She has been teaching classes at New Life Dance Ministry since 2014 and is also a member of New Life Church Gahanna dance ministry.

Lisa Martin’s desire is to help dancers of all levels, ages, and abilities hear and release the music and rhythms inside of them and grow into their God-given talents. Lisa brings over two decades of dance experience, leadership, and work in church dance ministries and is a certified praise dance instructor. She brings choreography, production and teaching skills in ballet, modern, liturgical/lyrical, flags and other dance styles. She has ministered with dance and motion in full stage productions locally and overseas.
Lisa is an active member of New Life Church Gahanna, married to Robert and is the proud step-mom to two children.

Anjali has been in the dance world her entire life. A dance student of 18 years, she has experience in multiple forms including ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, modern and tap. In high school she participated as a dancer in the school musicals and continued to dance while at The University of Dayton. Anjali has been a member and teacher of New Life Dance Ministry since 2018. “I love having the opportunity as a teacher at NLDM to create a safe and welcoming environment for my students of all ages and skill levels to experience this art form and learn how to express their emotions through movement."

Eve has been dancing at New Life Dance Ministry for 13 years. During that time she has studied ballet, jazz, tap, modern, contemporary, worship and folk dance styles. Besides serving as a junior dance teacher and as a member of the dance ministry at New Life Church Gahanna, she also as experience as a camp counselor, Sunday school helper, and library volunteer. Eve has had the pleasure of dancing and performing in community events, including with Momentum, a dance program partnering with Columbus schools, In addition to currently teaching and taking dance classes at New Life Dance Ministry, she is also studying dance at her performing arts high school.

Ms. Katina began taking dance lessons at age 3 1/2, first at Jeanette Grider’s School of Dance and Modeling and later at the Bettye Brown Robinson School of Dance, where she studied through young adulthood. She continues to expand her knowledge of the craft by taking classes. Ms. Katina was the Founder/Director of Joy Motion Choir and a founding member of God’s Glory Dance Ministry of Rhema Christian Center. In the spring of 1989, Jennings founded SELAH Dance Ministries (aka, Special Events League “AH” leluia) as an outreach ministry providing individuals the platform to pursue their dreams and goals for the ministry arts. Over the past 30 years, SELAH has afforded her the opportunity to choreograph and participate in events such as “Comin’ Home” on Mt. Vernon Avenue, the Columbus Museum of Art, ComFest, Columbus Arts Festival, weddings, anniversaries and church programs.
